EPLAN EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BANJA LUKA

EPLAN Education at the University of Banja Luka

In June 2018 the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Banja Luka organized the first training for the EPLAN software. The course was intended for both the students and the faculty staff.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Banja Luka administers education to engineers dealing with various specialist fields including mechatronics engineers. Mechatronics students acquire know-how in mechanical and electrical engineering, automation and programming. Although they learn a lot about and deal with CAD technologies in the course of their study, they are not familiar with CAE software packages.

In order to overcome this gap in the study program, prof. Bojan Knežević together with Dr. Duško Lukač have organized a course about the EPLAN software package for the students and lecturers at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The course consisted of theory and practical training. The practical part was implemented using the EPLAN Education Software.

All participants have received a certificate of attendance stating the content of the course and the knowledge acquired. After getting insight into the possibilities of the EPLAN software and having in mind its significance and use in industry, prof. B. Knežević plans to introduce EPLAN to the mechatronics study program and enable all students to get the official EPLAN Certified Student certification.
